Film.com reports Maria will be making a guest appearance during the current, final season of ER:
Besides, he’s already got Noah Wyle coming back on the final episode to wrap up the show, and assorted appearances by other former cast members including Maria Bello and Eriq La Salle.
“You don’t have to have everyone coming back for the party,” Wells says.
Perhaps not everyone, but a good portion of the old crew pops up throughout the final season of ER which in its first seven seasons was television’s most watched drama.
I haven’t heard anything about this elsewhere, so I don’t know whether it’s true. If anyone watches ER then be sure to let me know if Maria pops up!!

Another sweet film is the road-trip romance flick “The Yellow Handkerchief,” which impressed crowds at Sundance last January and features [Kristen] Stewart in a touching role that should appeal to her new “Twilight” fans. Co-starring William Hurt and Maria Bello, the film premieres in Los Angeles this week and will open for a small Oscar-qualifying run in December.

William Hurt delivers the performance of a lifetime, according to the cast and crew of his new movie The Yellow Handkerchief.
Praise was heaped upon the Oscar-winning actor at the film’s Los Angeles premiere.
Academy Award-winning producer Arthur Cohn raved that William is outstanding playing Brett, an ex-convict.
“He’s the soul of the movie,” he explained. “It’s the best performance he ever did. It’s very subtle, touching and emotional. From the private screenings we had at least half of all women wept because of him and that’s a good sign.”
A humble Hurt told reporters: “It was a wonderful character piece.”
The movie deals with getting second chances, which William reflected he’s had his own fair share of: “I’ve been given a lot. I probably shouldn’t be here I’ve had a tremendous amount of luck!”
Co-star Maria Bello insisted she’d learned a lot through sharing the screen with the actor.
“We had a wonderful director,” she explained, “but in a lot of ways William’s more experienced than all of us put together, he really helped me to find my character.”
“He’s just the most brilliant actor, such a gentleman and a good-hearted person. You can tell in his character, his softness, his stillness, his centeredness and his grace, I think it’s one of the best things he’s ever done.”

Maria Bello says she “thanks God” for the second chances she’s been given throughout her life.
The actress hit the red carpet in Beverly Hills wearing a borrowed little black dress for the LA premiere of her movie The Yellow Handkerchief.
“It’s YSL,” she explained. “I borrowed it from a friend because I had no time to find anything.”
The film, which also stars William Hurt, deals with getting a second chance in life, which Maria joked she’s had plenty of: “I have been given a lot of second chances, I’m happy to say.”
“I think it’s when you wake up one day and you realise you didn’t do something exactly how you wish you would have done it and for me then it’s about getting on my knees and praying to God to give me a second chance.”
“Whenever I do that he gives me one,” she added. “Thank God, cos I need a lot of them!”
Having appeared in her first Hollywood blockbuster this year – The Mummy: Tomb Of The Dragon Emperor – The Yellow Handkerchief sees Maria back in the independent film arena.
“I like both,” she explained. “It was a dream of mine to do an action adventure and I did it, but this is sort of my heart, character driven movies are the thing I’m always drawn back to.”

I’m sorry for the lack of updates here in the last week or so, but I’ve had some computer and internet troubles. My internet is working at the moment, but I think it may go again soon … and then work again in about 10-14 days. *Argh!* Early last week I added a set of new pictures from Camp Ronald McDonald’s 16th Annual Family Halloween Carnival, and Maria also attended the Hollywood Film Festival Awards Gala the day after that, so I will add pictures from that when I get my internet sorted. Whilst my internet is gone I will catch up on caps, so expect lots of movie and ER caps soon
Stay tuned, Maria fans! (Oh, and how exciting is the news below about Downloading Nancy?! I can’t wait for this to get released!!)

Strand Releasing has acquired all domestic rights to Sundance ’08 competition pic “Downloading Nancy.”
Swedish helmer Johan Renck’s controversial drama, starring Maria Bello, Jason Patric, Rufus Sewell and Amy Brenneman, concerns a damaged, despairing housewife who turns to the Internet to find a partner to fulfill her darkest desires. Pic, based on a true story, is a debut feature for Renck, an accomplished director of commercials and musicvids (Madonna, Beyonce).
David Moore and Igor Kovacevich of Tule River Films produced. Lee Ross and Pamela Cuming scripted.
Strand had been pursuing the film since Sundance, and the deal reps one of several post-fest pickups this year.
“We were captivated by ‘Downloading Nancy’s’ bold but honest approach to a very controversial subject. In this age of Facebook and MySpace, the film has specific relevance,” said Strand co-prexy Jon Gerrans.
Strand is queuing up a platform rollout for the pic in spring 2009.
The 20-year-old distrib’s recent releases include Claude Miller’s “A Secret” and Fatih Akin’s “The Edge of Heaven.”
Deal was negotiated between Strand’s Gerrans and Traction Media’s Doug Stone and Maren Olson. Foreign rights are repped by Wild Bunch.
