Heather Graham Replacing Uma in ‘Vengeance: A Love Story’?
August 28th, 2009 Filed Under Rumoured Roles No Comments / Comment?

Dianne Wiest was moved aside for Maria Bello. Bello was replaced by Uma Thurman, and now according to another mini blurb on Production Weekly, Heather Graham might have taken over the role of the victim in Harold Becker’s Vengeance: A Love Story. Thurman had recently signed onto Girl Soldier, so it seems logical that Uma was only “in talks” for the role. Normally I’d add a snarky remark about “rollergirl” and how this production is casting down – but the lead is shared with two others, (Samuel L. Jackson and Abigail Breslin), Graham is now in the age bracket where she can play more than just a wasted girlfriend and she is one of the only actresses who can claim that she was in a 400-million dollar grossing comedy this summer (The Hangover). I imagine that the Michigan production is moments away from actually beginning.

Based on the Joyce Carol Oates novella published in 2003, scripted by John Mankiewicz, the story is about an act of unbelievable brutality that twists the lives of three generations of women and sets a man of the law on his own course of justice. On the Fourth of July, Niagara Falls Police Officer John Dromoor (Jackson) is flagged down by 12-year-old Bethie Maguire (Breslin). Her mother, Teena Maguire (Graham), has been brutally raped and left for dead. Moving at a relentless, compelling pace, the story of Teena and Bethie unfolds in this powerful and thrilling drama.

Hi fans, got a great update for you today! I’ve added screencaps from Towelhead, thanks to Jamie. As you can see from the number of screencaps, Maria only has a small role in this movie, but it looks to be a good one. Enjoy the caps, and thanks once again to Jamie for generously contributing them :)

ER 3×20 & 3×21 screencaps
August 15th, 2009 Filed Under Gallery Updates No Comments / Comment?

I realised today that I still hadn’t finished capping Maria’s episodes of ER, so I got out my Season 3 DVD and have now added caps from episodes 3×20 (her first appearance!) and 3×21. Unfortunately, my DVD seems to be slightly faulty and the 3×23 episode won’t play completely so I’ll have to see if I can rent a copy of that to cap at a later time.

Remember that updates will be slow for a while as explained previously in this post. I’m still slowly working on revamping/building up the site content :)

Video: ET First On The Set Of ‘Grown Ups’
August 4th, 2009 Filed Under Grown Ups, Video Update No Comments / Comment?

Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Rob Schneider, David Spade and Chris Rock talk to ET about life as ‘Grown Ups.’

The upcoming film also stars Steve Buscemi, Salma Hayek, Maria Bello, Maya Rudolph, Gary Busey, David Spade and Norm MacDonald, plus even more comedic actors.

The story centers around five good friends who reunite 30 years after their high school graduation for a Fourth of July holiday weekend — and the fireworks will fly!

“It feels great,” to be involved with such a project, Schneider says of the film, which aims to have the impact of comedy classics like ‘Caddyshack.’

They all agree that one of the funniest bits includes a fight between Gary Busey and a monkey. “[They] went at it pretty good,” Sandler says. “It was the funniest thing I’ve ever seen,” James adds.

‘Grown Ups’ is scheduled for a June 2010 release.
