"As I’ve gotten older I’ve become more open. You stop judging yourself and you stop judging others. And it
doesn’t matter anymore if anybody likes you."
New promotional materials for Maria’s upcoming comedy Grown Ups have been released! There’s a new International Trailer, a poster, and stills. Grown Ups is set to be released on June 25th.
Grown Ups, starring Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, Rob Schneider, and David Spade, is a comedy about five friends and former teammates who reunite years later to honor the passing of their childhood basketball coach. With their wives (Salma Hayek, Maria Bello, Maya Rudolph) and kids in tow, they spend the Fourth of July holiday weekend together at the lake house where they celebrated their championship years earlier. Picking up where they left off, they discover why growing older doesn’t mean growing up.
After discovering the new Grown Ups trailer (posted below) I did a bit of searching for more film updates. Here are new trailer screencaps, release dates, official sites and synopsis’s for The Yellow Handkerchief & Grown Ups, plus new Downloading Nancy info and screencaps…
A love story at its core, THE YELLOW HANDKERCHIEF is about three strangers of two generations bound by loneliness who reach out to one another. After embarking on a road trip through post Katrina Louisiana, their relationships forge and change in a myriad of ways, leading to the possibility of second chances. Brett Hanson (William Hurt) dealing with a painful past, crosses paths with a lonely and troubled teenager Martine (Kristen Stewart) and her new ‘ride’ Gordy (Eddie Redmayne). The trio head out together, each motivated by reasons of their own. Martine yearns to escape her family, Gordy hopes to get closer to Martine and Brett must decide whether he wants to return to the uncertainty of the life and the woman he left behind, his ex-wife May (Maria Bello). A deeply humanistic and emotionally rich film, THE YELLOW HANDKERCHIEF is directed by Udayan Prasad (MY SON THE FANATIC).
Apple.com has The Yellow Handkerchief’s theatrical release date set as February 12th 2010 now. Visit the newly redesigned official site at theyellowhandkerchief.com.

Whilst updating the sidebar, I noticed that a lot of Maria’s recent movies are a bit up-in-the-air and haven’t had proper releases … so I thought I’d have a look around to check their status’s and post a round-up of release dates.

Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Rob Schneider, David Spade and Chris Rock talk to ET about life as ‘Grown Ups.’
The upcoming film also stars Steve Buscemi, Salma Hayek, Maria Bello, Maya Rudolph, Gary Busey, David Spade and Norm MacDonald, plus even more comedic actors.
The story centers around five good friends who reunite 30 years after their high school graduation for a Fourth of July holiday weekend — and the fireworks will fly!
“It feels great,” to be involved with such a project, Schneider says of the film, which aims to have the impact of comedy classics like ‘Caddyshack.’
They all agree that one of the funniest bits includes a fight between Gary Busey and a monkey. “[They] went at it pretty good,” Sandler says. “It was the funniest thing I’ve ever seen,” James adds.
Lots of new stuff has popped up recently! To start with, we have the first 3 stills of Maria in The Private Lives Of Pippa Lee (pictured alongside Blake Lively who I believe plays the young Pippa Lee) and 3 posters for Downloading Nancy which is getting a limited US release in a couple of weeks (let’s hope Maria attends a premiere for it!). Maria was spotted on the set of Grown Ups in Boston 10 days ago, and I’ve added a photo of that.
And I’ve caught up on all the new appearance photos, all of which were charity-related events.
Film screencaptures and those remaining 2008 appearance photos are coming up next …
Salma Hayek was hard to miss this weekend. The “Frida” actress and her husband, Puma CEO Francois-Henri Pinault, were at the Fan Pier Saturday as the around-the-world Volvo Ocean Race resumed. The two then stopped by Kings, where Adam Sandler and his “Grown Ups” costars Chris Rock, David Spade, Maria Bello, and Kevin James kicked off the movie shoot with a family-friendly shindig. While some guests chowed on pulled-pork sliders and pizza, Sandler, James, and Steffiana de la Cruz, wife of “The King of Queens” star, bowled a few frames with their kids. Bello, meanwhile, was playing video games with her son Jackson and boyfriend Dan McDermott. (Hayek and Pinault brought their daughter Valentia Paloma.) Also there was director Dennis Dugan, producers Barry Bernardi and Jack Giarraputo, and actor Jonathan Loughran. The movie is set to start shooting today (May 18th) in Southborough.
