Emergency Sex (HBO TV Series)
Untitled HBO TV series
"As I’ve gotten older I’ve become more open. You stop judging yourself and you stop judging others. And it
doesn’t matter anymore if anybody likes you."
Hollywood’s big night – Oscar night – was last night, and Maria made an appearance at the Vanity Fair After Party! She looked lovely in a shimmery little white dress, and was seen pictured with Sean Penn (they should work together, don’t you think?!!), Hilary Swank and Olivia Wilde. It’s great seeing Maria at such a prestigious event!
The first batch of photos from the event have been added to the Gallery, and more will follow in a day or so.
As posted about yesterday, Maria attended the Independent Spirit Awards in Los Angeles on Friday night, as a nominee for her role in Downloading Nancy. Today I’ve added exactly 100 photos from the event!
Maria’s nude metallic dress was by Kaufman Franco and she accessorised with satin peep-toe Jimmy Choo sandals and a matching Jimmy Choo clutch. And as I said yesterday, I think she looks absolutely stunning, and this is definitely one of my favourite looks of hers! I hope we get to see more of this kind of look from her. Enjoy the photos
Maria has been quite busy lately, it seems! Make sure you scroll down through this main page as lots of new articles have been posted today. Don’t miss the new Grown Ups stills and the news of Maria’s new HBO show!
Photos from two new events that Maria has attended have been added to the Gallery. I’ve also added a new still from The Yellow Handkerchief (the release date for which has changed to February 26th).
New promotional materials for Maria’s upcoming comedy Grown Ups have been released! There’s a new International Trailer, a poster, and stills. Grown Ups is set to be released on June 25th.
Grown Ups, starring Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, Rob Schneider, and David Spade, is a comedy about five friends and former teammates who reunite years later to honor the passing of their childhood basketball coach. With their wives (Salma Hayek, Maria Bello, Maya Rudolph) and kids in tow, they spend the Fourth of July holiday weekend together at the lake house where they celebrated their championship years earlier. Picking up where they left off, they discover why growing older doesn’t mean growing up.
Maria has been busy this past week! She attended the Annual Awards Season Diamond Fashion Show Preview and Film Independent’s 2010 Spirit Awards Nominee Brunch (she’s nominated for Downloading Nancy), and she’s also been working hard to raise awareness and get fundraising for the recent Haiti tragedy. From the sound of the previous article posted (below this one), it seems that she is now in Haiti!
Photos from these new events, plus a few new candids, have been added to the Gallery. You can read about Maria’s recent work for Haiti in the news posts below.
Happy New Year everyone! Yes, I know we’re 10 days into the new year now, hehe, I am a bit late posting this here
I’ve made and added 595 screencaps from Maria’s 2004 film Assault on Precinct 13 today, in which Maria played psychiatrist Dr. Alex Sabian. The movie was a bit cliched and sterotyped, but it was a tense and claustrophobic thriller, and actually quite enjoyable in the end! Maria doesn’t have much to do – she seems to be there mainly as eye candy and a sort-of love interest, but she looks amazing and I loved seeing her alongside Ethan Hawke – I would’ve liked to have seen more of their relationship … I guess it’s not that kind of movie though, hehe!
The screencaps contain major spoilers, so if you do not want to know what happens, then do not view the final page of the album!!
Over 400 screencaps from Maria’s appearance in Due South in 1996 have been added to the Gallery!
In her one episode appearance, Maria plays tough journalist Mackenzie King, who is hoping that Constable Fraser will provide her with an exclusive story for the paper she works for. Maria is pretty funny in some scenes! A video will be added here once I start working on the video archive (vote on this!).
Below are a video and screencaptures from Maria’s recent appearance on Craig Ferguson, for his 1000th show celebration. The segment was filmed at the same time she appeared on the show in November as she has the same hair and dress as then. It’s a pretty funny interview!
Maria has attended a couple of events in the last few days – the Hollywood Reporter Women In Entertainment Breakfast on Friday, and yesterday the Artivist Film Festival Awards. Photos from both events have been added! I particularly like her look at the Artivist Awards – I love the black dress and dark eyes!
As previously mentioned, the The Private Lives Of Pippa Lee was released on DVD here in the UK earlier this month, and today I have added screencaptures! Maria’s role is small, but it is certainly stand-out and memorable! Her character, Suky, is bipolar and goes from one extreme to another, which must’ve given Maria something good to sink her acting teeth into!
US fans, remember that the The Private Lives Of Pippa Lee is out in cinemas in your country now, and will be hitting more cities next month. Check the official site for locations.
